TABLE NOW SOLD !

We have a client who is willing to sell their immaculate corner bevel faceted square leg snooker table .
SQUARE LEGS DO NOT COLLECT DUST like turned leg ones do .
And they are more contempery looking to fit most decors .
The polish on the woodwork and the cloth condition can only be described as mint condition
The table is located near Lytham St Annes Blackpool area .
Price includes Scoreboard balls and all rest equipment and a dust cover Buyer to arrange and pay for dismantle and relocation from a Ground floor Garage that was converted to snooker room .
so an easy pick up .

As the photos show the table is in Mint condition , and will not require an expensive re-cloth or nets , or nets and leathers or even re-rubber , which can be very costly , this table is ready for play it does not require any work to get it to that standard it is already there , cloth can be re-stretched back on .

and so is the Buyer . Qulaity table , that if made to day would be very expensive to produce in Oak and steel cushions .

A very nice Oak Burroughs and watts billiards table circa around 1920/30s
Oak has a nice 1/4 sawn pattern . which means it was constructed from selected oak plank pieces in the factory and not just any low grain offcutts .

My client is very realistic in his pricing of the table which is located near to Stroud in the west of England .
The table is on the Ground floor , it will in my opinion require a full renovation of the playing surface , cloth and rubber , maybe upgrade the nets and leathers but I think it may lose it’s old ORIGINAL charm to replace billiard bag nets with ball rail nets and rails .

Burroughs and watts are regarded as one of the best billiard table manufacturers some say the rolls royce of billiard firms , but I think George Wright and Orme & sons are also on a level of B&Watts , Burroughs & Watts where credited with the first use of Steel braced cushions known as steel vaccum or Steel block cushions , which is still used to the same design on modern match play tables of today on TV .
Steel cushions give you a better ball responce in rebound and speed off the cushions , plus lower noise when the ball hits the cushion , not so much of a thud sound which a normal full wood cushion often sounds like .
There are a few mahogany B&WEatts tables for sale but Oak ones only come up now and again , not saying it is rare to find but not as many as mahogany for sale .
which is a good point for our selling client , as I do not think the table will be up for sale long at this price .

THE TABLE is located in Great Missenden Buckinghamshire on the Ground floor .


This Arts and Crafts style table was manufactured by the well Known Burroughs and Watts Billiards firm circa around 1920/30s , it can only be described as a top of the range table in its day , The oak stringers of the refectory table and carved legs and mouldings plus the ebonised inlays , makes this table a bit above the norm of a basic turned leg design .
The Polish looks in good order as does the cloth , my client did say it went through a refurb some years ago and has not had much use since then , any buyer could have the original bed cloth re-stretched back on .

So there you have , the complete table with the three main accessories is priced at £6500 .
the price does not include the collection of the table but I can give an estimate of what the costs would be .
To Dismantled this table and bubble wrap it , the cost is going to be £550 , plus 50p per mile round trip
To deliver and set up on ground floor ( NO STAIRS ) with parking and no parking restrictions unloading , unwrapping and erect ready for play it would be £650 plus 50p per mile .
Very long distance may add and extra days travelling fee plus any B&B and E/Meal charges for the fitters .

This table is based in the Havant Portsmouth Area . and is now available for sale from it’s private owner direct .
The price is £2500 for it as it stands with all equipment like scoreboard balls and rests .
You will then have to pay for dismantling loading , delivery unloading and set up by a qualified time served billiards fitter , and it will require a re-cloth , and maybe new nets and leathers depending on condition when inspected on strip down .
you may even think about a re-rubber if using it as a main feature match table in a club .
Very rare to find one in Oak which alone would draw attention to it and a main attraction to a club to play finals on .

the last price I can find on these BCE tables in mahogany was £8000 plus delivery and set up , but they will now be closer to a Riley aristocrat price , but look again this one is OAK , you would have to pay extra for a Oak table .
They are sought after tables , prized as being one of the best steel tournament cushioned tables going
Even John Higgins sold his own match star table and replaced it with one of these BCE Westbury’s sourced by GCL billiards .
But John’s was a mahogany one , there are thousands made in mahogany , but only a few special ordered oak ones where manufactured so rare to find , and I think will not be up for sale long before someone spots it for what it is , and compares the price of say a new Riley Aristocrat , which are £14193.60p new today on the riley web site , for comparison ask Riley how much they will make a BCE Westbury for in Oak .
Then come back and bag this Bargain , this would make an ideal club match table .

Riley now market and make the BCE Westbury and have relaunched it and advertised it as the ,

NOW SOLD and not for sale unless buyer pulls out

We have a client based in Slough , who would like to sell their full size snooker table
the table from the photos looks to have been renovated by alliance billiards and is in very good condition . my client is looking for £1500 which is rather less than he paid for it a few years ago .
so look upon this table as a mid range priced table that in rough condition would cost around £500 to £750 , but then you would have to pay a lot to get it to this standard .
in fact much more to go down that route than this route of already renovated .
as you can see from the photos it is a very nice turned and fluted leg in medium oak , not many oak tables around for sale , plenty in mahogany but not oak .
Typical leg design of Burroughs and watts with concealed church window knee panels , with secret lift push and tilt out action to reveal the leg bolt heads .
accessories are in with the sale all inclusive at £1500 , buyer to arrange to have the table dismantled and relocated .
