We have a client who is selling all her billiard room equipment sepperatley from the table . please look at other items listed sepepratley to this , for any other pieces you may be interested in , there are 6 very nice cues for sale too , two handspliced . this advert is just for the cue rack
Here we have a very nice tall pedastal rotating cue rack , I think 8 cues per side and there are three sides , so this rack will take 24 cues , a very nice piece of billiard room equipemnt to display your cue collection . £750 please , I sold one exactly the same a couple of years ago for that price . this cue rack will dismantle for transport but seller prefers collection .
A smaller modern repro chinese round standing rack is £600 at john parrots sportshop on line , why buy a low cost one at that price when this one is just a bit more , have a look just compare the quality
Very nice to find these for sale , and these are Genuine ones not copies or repro . A bit of staining which proves originality of Age . Original frame and glass . £195.00p collected .
We have a client who is selling a few Snooker and billiards items and in the room we have a nice Billiards glass display case , a montage of billiard items Diplayed in such a way to incur interest and curiosity to the display . Also a nice 3D wall art of crossed Billiard cues , R F knight which is a modern Repro sign My client would like £195 for the pair collected .
We have a selling client who has a very nice VERY RARE maker of John Pook for sale A very rare collectable item ( find another ) . Not a name that I am familiar with , so I asked Billiards Historian Peter Ainsworth for his view on this board . We value it at £495 it could be worth more but we think this value is spot on . A couple of ivory buttons missing , and these could be found from some billiards firms who have spares or oddments lying around . but in very good working order .
Free standing and not wall mounted boards are very hard to find and this board is unusual .
Peters observation on seeing the photo of this FREE STANDING board please note this board is 3 foot 9 inch wide and 5 foot 2 inch high
The John Pook scoreboard is very rare. I haven’t seen another. I’ve attached a brief summary of Pook’s career from which you can date it as most likely between 1866 and 1871, although it could be as early as 1854. I suspect that as the style looks even earlier than that it would do very well at auction.
We have a client who wishes to sell a Genuine 1950s Burrows and Watts BURWATT CHAMPION CUES A full length not messed about with but slightly off true in straightness , my client is saying 4ft 11 inch but it may well be 58 inch . The badge are in great condition , this cue only every being used in a private home . It is priced at £295 ….NO OFFERS This cue is the same sought after model hand spliced cue as used by the late GREAT ALEX HIGGINS In my youth these cues where the cues every one wanted , always fetched top money when coming up for sale , and these prices are very good . Ask a good hand spliced cue maker today to hand make one of these , and you would not get any or much change from £1000 , per cue . In fact look on ebay for the same cue and you will see this cue is very competitvley priced . allowing for you to get the cue serviced and that slight off trueness straightned at a Cue specialist .
Any buyer may wish to have the cue ferruled and re-tipped , this is down to the buyer to take the cue or cues to any Vintage Cue specialist for that service .
Priced to sell no offers on advertised price .
All enquiries to Geoff at GCL Billiards .
This last photo shows both Burwat champions together,,,,,, please note one now sold and collected , The other cues are not included in this sale But the 4 Burroughs and watts machine spliced cues to the left of the Burwatt are at £40 each or all 4 for £120 . they are all stamped impressed Burroughs and watts in the butt and are circa 1910 / 1920s . ….around 115 years old cues in fantastic condition .
We have a client who wishes to sell a very nice Burroughs and watts full size snooker table this table has the sought after Steel cushions , that are still used on TV championship tables of today The table is circa 1910 , and has the very large Tulip shaped leg , a Bold statement to any Table of that period, these size of legs in solid Mahogany , none of of your low cost phillipino fake mahogany , this is the real thing , a good solid quality hard wood timber . No spraying of gold or silver legs to hide such low quality timber as they do today .
The cushions are the sought after Steel block plate braced , these give good rebound value over standard wood cushions , BUT why such a come and get me price , we and the selling client feels it needs a full renovation of Re-rubber and re-cloth , plus nets leathers and modern ball rails , also the cost of dismantle and set up is taken into account on the selling price of just £1000 . But you could go with the rubber allready in the cushion and the cloth as it is and just replace the outdated bag nets and leathers and add ball rails . then at a later date after playing assessment have the rubbers done and re-cloth or just a re-cloth . please no offers the table is well worth this price . The Table has a Rigidus frame , the centre legs closer together , rather than spaced out equal , this is to make sure all joints are supported across entire width of the table , two of the cross beam slate bearers are adjustable , this means nothing to most folk , but a Qulified time served Billiards fitter will explain it on assembley .
The table comes as just the table, no accessories allthough you are welcome to the lights and a few oddments of rests and long tackle and the used ball set and triangle .
PLEASE NOTE ….No scoreboard cues , or cue rack is with this table .
A very good table , built out of very good hard wood timber , and good welsh slate . they do not make Snooker tables today out of such quality materials , and that is fact . And a great price for any buyer . Steel cushions alone are worth the price of £1000 , as an upgrade to any older standard cushion table , it would be a shame to seperate the cushions from it , as this frame and large legs looks great and quality thick welsh slate is better quality than soft modern slate , but some people do buy the whole table then just swap over the cushions and pocket plates , having refurbed them to their allready set up table , and then sell the rest of the table on again , providing your table has 5 bolt holes in the side cushion and is 12 foot by 6 foot 1.5 inch slate width , these will fit . Modern tables have 6 bolt holes in side cushion . and then these will not fit unless you drill out or slot the steels at an engineering shop .
You can fit these steel match play cushions direct to many other older branded tables , like Thurston / Orme & sons / George wright etc . But my advice is just keep it as it is , and replace the whole table if you wish to upgrade , to a steel cushion match play table .
Buyer to arrange collection and delivery , you can use GCL Billiards or any firm you choose .
Please Contact Geoff at GCL Billiards for more information of costs to relocate , and any other work you may require .
if you need any information on Burroughs and Watts history , and why this firm is sometimes referred to as the rolls Royce of Billiard table manufacturers .
please visit the link below Billiard & Snooker Heritage site on Peter Clares site , of which Peter Ainsworth is credited with some of the History as a Billiards Historian .
This very expensive when bought Snooker Billiard diner by Sir William Bentley Billiards Is for sale at just £1750 having been reduced from £2500 asking price . Now for this price it is a sure Bargain , it will come with Scoreboard , Cue stand balls cues etc A very nice mahogany Billiard dining table . This has a function of raising the height to a playing height Or lowering , placing the Polished dining tops on for a Dining Table . Please do your Homework , look up the prices of Sir William Bentley Billiards for such a Table The 7ft version with tulip legs on their web site is £7000 plus Vat . This is the larger 8ft version which would be £8000 plus vat . with turned fluted legs The table is being sold as it is on site with cloth that is on it . You could use any Billiard firm in the country to transport and fit this table . And We have a list or reputable fitters based around the country who would price this up for you The price of the Billiard dining table is fixed , this is well worth the price asked for with all the accesories , taking into acount that the buyer would have to fund the removal and fitting of the table . This period Victorian / Edwardian looking fluted turned leg , was modern made table , so will play to modern standards on the cushions and pocket openings . unlike the period ones which do not .
Cloth looks ok to be left as it is , but you may wish to have a re-cloth Some may have a differnat colour cloth fitted , of course this would be something you take up with the firm chosen for fitting the table , and would be an extra costing for any buyer . Hainsworth Smart do a vast colour choice range in that grade of cloth .
4 Section Table tops in place , a superb large dining table seats 8 maybe 10 people .
End view of the table with winder in place for lowering and raise of the table . this is what makes the table a dual function , if you had a fixed height one you would need very tall chairs at playing height .
If you wished you could ask your fitting firm to re-cloth the table for you in one of the above colours which would then make the table to your liking , in colour choice . Of course this is not included in the sale price but put on here so you can see the colours you could have the table re-clothed in . Also please note the asking prcie of the table does not include dismantle loading transporting or set up The table is priced to sell as it stands in the room it is sited in , any removal or re-clothing costs is down the the buyer . At £1750 it is extreemly low cost for such a high end table , manufactured by one of the top end Billiards firms in the country when it comes to asking higher end prices . Pleasdo not insult the seller with any offers , GCL Billiards have set the price with the seller , and we advised the lower price because of the removal costs . You could say reducing it from £2500 has put £750 towards the buyers costs of getting the table transported and set up . The Billiard dining table was well worth £2500 as it is .
please visit Sir William Bentley billiards web site to see these tables and the prices they command . To judge for yourselves the price is set to sell , taking into account the relocation and any re-clothing costs .
