I do not know the actual manufacturer but Herbert Holt has a plaque on stating he refurbished it at some point in its life . Polish looks in good condition . Tulip carved mahogany legs with scrolls .
Herbert Holt was a billiards player born 1909 who formed a billiard repair company , son of another billiards player Willie Holt .

It may require a re-cloth if you are picky , but cloth is good for a year or so in club use as it is . my advice is go with whats on it and decide after a year if you wish to have a new cloth fitted .

Study the Photos , you will see that the woodwork is of exceptional condition , the cloth is also good , also the rubber is very good too , maybe the start of track wear marks in the corner pocket openings on the bed cloth , which will move a bit and will stretch down the fall on a restretch a bit .
The rests you see and hooks are all included , also the triangle , The seller is keeping his own set of match play balls and the scoreboard . the last time I hade one of these up for sale on the web site with Steel cushions , it sold within a couple of days , also at the same price as this one . They do not hang around long and if you compare them with a TV Tournement Chinese star table the Aristocrat are a better table . This one has not been messed with and had the legs sprayed silver or gold , Proof it has good woodgrain legs of higher quality than those sprayed silver . as the best wood grained ones where kept for pollished wood .
If you are a high class player or even a keen person who requires one of the best made TOURNAMENT tables for modern game play , then this is the table to buy . It would be my own choice out of all the tbales that have been used on TV tournaments these where the best model . And the most asked for when people looking for a Tournament steel cushion table phones to ask do I know of any second hand ones available . It is priced to sell at just £3000 as is on site , I would say after a move relocation set up and a 30 oz Strachan 6811 tournament re-cloth you may get a little bit of change from £5000 maybe a bit more if you wnated a Hiansworth match cloth on it . A very nice Oak Burroughs and watts billiards table circa around 1920/30s Oak has a nice 1/4 sawn pattern . which means it was constructed from selected oak plank pieces in the factory and not just any low grain offcutts .
My client is very realistic in his pricing of the table which is located near to Stroud in the west of England . The table is on the Ground floor , it will in my opinion require a full renovation of the playing surface , cloth and rubber , maybe upgrade the nets and leathers but I think it may lose it’s old ORIGINAL charm to replace billiard bag nets with ball rail nets and rails .

Burroughs and watts are regarded as one of the best billiard table manufacturers some say the rolls royce of billiard firms , but I think George Wright and Orme & sons are also on a level of B&Watts , Burroughs & Watts where credited with the first use of Steel braced cushions known as steel vaccum or Steel block cushions , which is still used to the same design on modern match play tables of today on TV . Steel cushions give you a better ball responce in rebound and speed off the cushions , plus lower noise when the ball hits the cushion , not so much of a thud sound which a normal full wood cushion often sounds like . There are a few mahogany B&WEatts tables for sale but Oak ones only come up now and again , not saying it is rare to find but not as many as mahogany for sale . which is a good point for our selling client , as I do not think the table will be up for sale long at this price . THE TABLE is located in Great Missenden Buckinghamshire on the Ground floor .
This Arts and Crafts style table was manufactured by the well Known Burroughs and Watts Billiards firm circa around 1920/30s , it can only be described as a top of the range table in its day , The oak stringers of the refectory table and carved legs and mouldings plus the ebonised inlays , makes this table a bit above the norm of a basic turned leg design . The Polish looks in good order as does the cloth , my client did say it went through a refurb some years ago and has not had much use since then , any buyer could have the original bed cloth re-stretched back on .
As you can see this table oozes class and craftsmanship and the table alone is priced at £5000 which in my opinion is priced to sell , the price is as it sits in the house any buyer will have to pay for dismantle and removal from the property . All the other accessories are going to be priced separately as these also are of top quality .
The Burroughs and watts Life pool scoreboard in matching oak is priced at £750 , but if bought with the table it is priced at £500 , it is complete with no parts missing and has Ivory or bone slide markers and buttons for the life counter slide out strips . In my opinion this should be kept with the table and not separated and at just £500 it is a very good price for one of these . the buyer of the Full size Billiard table gets to choose what he wishes to add to the table . A matching Rotating cue rack is also available at £750 , or if bought with the table at £500 A range of cues will also come with the cue rack . A very nice period reproduction light is also available as an extra again £750 or £500 if bought with the table . There will be a range of rests and balls that will of course come with the table price
So there you have , the complete table with the three main accessories is priced at £6500 . the price does not include the collection of the table but I can give an estimate of what the costs would be . To Dismantled this table and bubble wrap it , the cost is going to be £550 , plus 50p per mile round trip To deliver and set up on ground floor ( NO STAIRS ) with parking and no parking restrictions unloading , unwrapping and erect ready for play it would be £650 plus 50p per mile . Very long distance may add and extra days travelling fee plus any B&B and E/Meal charges for the fitters .
We could dismantle the table down into manageable parts and load it all onto this van for delivery . This table is based in the Havant Portsmouth Area . and is now available for sale from it’s private owner direct . The price is £2500 for it as it stands with all equipment like scoreboard balls and rests . You will then have to pay for dismantling loading , delivery unloading and set up by a qualified time served billiards fitter , and it will require a re-cloth , and maybe new nets and leathers depending on condition when inspected on strip down . you may even think about a re-rubber if using it as a main feature match table in a club . Very rare to find one in Oak which alone would draw attention to it and a main attraction to a club to play finals on .

the last price I can find on these BCE tables in mahogany was £8000 plus delivery and set up , but they will now be closer to a Riley aristocrat price , but look again this one is OAK , you would have to pay extra for a Oak table . They are sought after tables , prized as being one of the best steel tournament cushioned tables going Even John Higgins sold his own match star table and replaced it with one of these BCE Westbury’s sourced by GCL billiards . But John’s was a mahogany one , there are thousands made in mahogany , but only a few special ordered oak ones where manufactured so rare to find , and I think will not be up for sale long before someone spots it for what it is , and compares the price of say a new Riley Aristocrat , which are £14193.60p new today on the riley web site , for comparison ask Riley how much they will make a BCE Westbury for in Oak . Then come back and bag this Bargain , this would make an ideal club match table .
