My client has now sold this table Privately .  and it is no longer available .

But we are always on the look out for reasonably priced tables for buying clients , if you have one like this or the same make , then we may be able to help you sell it through our for sale pages
it is free to list a table and we only charge just £25 if we find a buyer for you , this to cover our time on the internet net and the odd phone call ARRANGING THE SALE  .
a small price to pay for such a service and much better than eBay , as our web site is often clicked on to find such tables .

it is then up to the buyer if they choose to go with GCL billiards to move the table or find their own firm or move it themselves .

ORIGINAL ADVERT .

If you prefer the older design features of an old billiards table yet wish it to play like a modern table then this table is for you .

The much sought after Karnehm & Hillman full size 8 tulip design carved leg  Buckingham model , if you are looking for a table look no further .
and at just £500 it is a come and buy me price .

Not sure on sunlight if this has affected the wood at the window end may have lightened it a bit  ,
but the woodwork does look in very good order .

this table is all about these fantastic tulip designed carved type leg

at each leg there are carved scrolls either side on middle and corner legs , and a multi reed bead to the frame and lower cushion .
you may notice they use the older design of clip in buttons to hide both leg and cushion bolts
this is a much sought after design , that mimics the older looking tables yet plays like a modern table of the 1980’s onward’s .

A lighting shade and scoreboard balls and triangle and cue rack is also included in the price .
You may notice the lack of hooks for rests , My client says he had the table renovated , and if you do not fit hooks you cannot mark the frame with cross rest nibble .
when people put the rests back on the hook they hit the frame with the brass ends of the rest marking and eventually wearing out the polish
this one is untouched , and that is because they cannot put a cross rest head on the table .
I am amazed sometimes that people spend large amounts of money to have a table fully re polished only for them to mark the frame with cross rest nibble ,
I always try and educate people not to have hooks fitted if possible and to place rests in a free standing rack .
this just shows this seller is wise to what a  cross rest can do to the ends of the table .

Now the bad part
The cloth looks very faded , so I would recommenced a full re-cloth for any buyer

Now I like to make sure every body understands what the sale includes and what is extra
a Re-cloth would be extra of course .
and the dismantle load , travelling unloading and assemble of the table to a ground floor room is also going to extra
we do not do upstairs or basement fitting of tables all tables have to be installed on Ground floor .
if you wish a stairs install then get in touch with Geoff who will go through the Extra – extra costs of  a stair install as many men are required to lift slates up or down stairs
…unless you have a lift the slates fit in ?

We have a client who wishes to sell their 6 leg Ball & claw foot 7ft Billiard dining table
slate bed of modern 1980s / 90s  manufacture .


the table has a two piece wood table top for dining off in its low position .

the table has four click clack dual height brass table adjusters just like the old Riley tables used to have
you may also notice a stiff L shape girder bar with adjustment nuts on to help prevent slate sagging over the length of the slate bed .

Slate size is 7ft , notice that cloth is in very good condition , as are nets and leathers so I am informed .

By 3ft  6  inch wide slate .
The table is a Private sale direct from the seller , and is collection by buyer or specialised courier .
you will need a piano trolley and 2 strong men to move this table .
the table is located in Elstree near London .

We Have a private sale client who wishes to sell their very nice Oak Barley twist leg Billiards diner .
Make is the much admired Jelks name …these are realy sought after in that makers name .
and is a genuine ANTIQUE not a reproduction .
We have been told it is a dual height table for dining and playing
as you can see from the photo’s it is in very nice condition
you can buy it all in with the scoreboard and the chairs for just £1250 …WHAT A BARGAIN

Score board still available .

We have a client who wishes to sell their much treasured family billiard table
A period of a round 1910 to 1936 is the time period of the table manufacture
Orme & sons well known for their preference to make tables in solid Oak …chances are if you see an old oak table it will be a Orme & sons .

This table is being sold on its own or with a very collectable Orme & sons  Arts & crafts scoreboard
Lighting Shade is included in the price as is the gas stove  heated iron balls and long tackle plus rests .

Square shaped fluted leg with decorative button and flat bead edged knee panels

Now these boards are a bit special , and this one more so as it is from the Arts & Crafts period and design .
The table can be sold separately  for £500 and the score board for £600 , or both for £1000 .
and as a gesture the owner will throw in a nice set of framed period rules .
the score board is a 10 player life pool and billiards board and has 6 ivory buttons missing but overall is in very good order , I am sure you could locate 6 buttons from a collector or billiards firm .
or buy an old bone ball and have some made on lathe .

the arts and crafts carved design of the closed door fronts to this board make it unique and collectable
Be a shame to separate it from the table , but these boards are in demand .
if the table is sold first then the board can go after .
but the buyer of the table gets first refusal of the score board .

Ivory name plate on the table has King George V as monarch , reign from 1910 to 1936 .
a good way to date a table if you have no original sales receipt is the end name plate on the cushions
most carry the time period of the Reigning monarch .
Sadly we live in a time where the board is worth more than the table , but we have priced these items at a very reasonable costing ,
this reflects the sale s prices currently fetching around the UK for S/H tables and equipment .
A good time to buy is right now .

a nice set of framed period  Billiards rules , could do with a new antique effect glass in the front .
these are included if you buy both the table and the score board .
but if not then this set of rules is £50 .
Table is located near Bamford  , Manchester .
Cost of removal and collection  is down to buyer , the table is on GROUND FLOOR , so no stairs to get down with the heavy slates .

this belongs to part of the NHS organisation .

**** it looks like it needs 4 new adjustable feet to level the table and the plates  , these can be sourced via EBAY or from any UK pool table manufacturer
or from another  table that is being broken for spares .
but they may have them on site or they may be inside the table .
I would hope that a valuation of around £200 to £250 is about correct for this type of slate bed table and is realistic and  achievable .

We have a Genuine 1895 circa Burroughs & Watts  life pool Scoreboard for sale , a large 10 player board .
very ornate and attractive ,and at a reasonable price too when you compare what other leading billiard houses are selling them at .
all original ivory buttons , the lower cabinet WOULD have had a set of Ivory pyramid or life pool ball stored in there and the penny slots would and will  still take Victorian Pennies .
you can pick odd ivory balls up now and again so i am sure you could make this period display even better
Highly collectable in this condition , and would look great if you all ready have a Burroughs & Watts table , but have  a standard scoreboard .
all the life stars are there one is sticking at the moment but it is there .
a little repair here and there and a small split is all that this board has that you could pick fault with .
It is has not been re-polished and is all original apart from small repair to left hand lower slot , very hard to find them unrestored  and original in this condition .
all I am going to do is wax it and polish it up .

Private sale of Karnehm and hillam 8ft snooker table

not your usual 4 leg rubbish that sags in the middle , this one has been made correct with 6 legs .

buyer to arrange dismantle and collection , GCL billiards could quote you for this .
the price of the table at £600  is as it stands NOT  delivered and set up .
Any costs for collecting the table and having it installed is not included .

A table like this to be manufactured to same spec would be close to £2000 to £2500  new .
some may even charge you up to £3000 for a new one .

Cost of delivery depends on where you are in the country .
Delivering a 8ft Snooker table is not like sending a parcel by parcel force , you need a fully qualified Billiards fitting team .
the slate and cloth will be removed from the table and the whole frame taken apart , installing is a skilled job .

January 6th 2020   NOW REDUCED to £750 a saving of £250 from original price .
Remember this is the BCE Westbury model a dream to pocket balls on as best pocket plates design which many modern tables are now copying ,  and super rare in 10ft form
if you where to buy a new one of these it would be around £6500 to £7500 .

 

the 10 foot by 5 foot  Table is located on a ground floor in Surrey , so only two fitters will be required to dismantle and load it .
Very rare to fine 8 legs on a 10ft , this table is priced to sell at just £1000….NOW £750  ( try buying a new one for that )
The table looks like it could do with a re-cloth in Strachan 6811 tournament but we can use any cloth you care to mention and is available through our suppliers  ,
and GCL billiards will be pleased to quote for any removal and set up charges and re-clothing quote .

The table looks to only have had Home use and comes with a range of accessories .

The lighting shade is also included .

as can be seen it has 8 legs , most are 6 legged just like a full sized table
If you fancy a full sized table and just have not got the room for one ,
then maybe a 10ft by 5ft would fit the room , you would require a room 20ft by 15ft
rather than a 22ft by 16ft for a full size .

The table is based in surrey ,  we are based in Nottingham , it may well be a two day job to bring in and  deliver the table .
and carry out the re-cloth .
You would be hard pushed to find a fitter with as much experience , 42 years in the trade now .

and no intentions of retiring at the moment .
We are just too busy moving and installing BARGAINS LIKE THESE direct to the customer v the selling client .
