We have a client Stapleford cue club who we do a lot of work for
they are upgrading their current stock of 4 pool tables from Black to oak finish latest edition tables

the table for sale is the black one near the bar .
Therefore releasing good quality stock of second hand 7×4 pool Supreme winner pool tables one at a time as they exchange over
this week they have just put a new table in and dismantled one of the black tables which was a match table only 2 years ago and it is now for sale at just £395
this table is a free play type table and has no coin operation at all
it is ideal for a club or any up and coming pool player for his man cave or Garage or shed or log cabin at the bottom of the Garden

Stapleford cue club are having a change around , not because of bad tables but to upgrade to a different colour cabinet in light oak

They would like to exchange all the black ash tables for oak tables in the near future ,
they have done two so far so another table will also be available in the near future if you miss out on this one

All these tables have been been maintained by GCL Billiards over the years .
So you can be assured of good maintained tables and not some table that has been banged and shifted about in it’s lifetime. they still have plenty of years left in them and have also had cushion upgrades at sometime too , so no dead cushions ! like some will sell you .
This table was a Match table and used by the local pool teams in the leagues as well as a few Finals .
all the black tables have had upgraded ball runs , the old type used to spit balls out onto the tbale so you will have the latest ball runs with the table for sale
these fully grooved and allen key bolted type are the very latest used by supreme

We have a local Derby client who wishes to sell their full size snooker table for around £500
and due to a carpet change .
I dismantled this table and put it into storage for our client around 18 months ago due to my recommending an oak table to match in with his home refurbishment ,
the mahogany table did somehow not suit the oak doors and fitments of the room
I put the idea of finding a nice oak square leg to him and found one within two weeks just by chance of another client offering one for sale , a very rare Riley Viceroy .
here are a couple of photo’s of his older table which is a very nice tulip legged Victorian table .,which is the table for sale not the newer oak one .

As you can see the lighter coloured fitments of the pastel green panelling and oak doors do not make this table look as though it belonged in the room
the room was very modern and the table is Victorian , the table does come with a scoreboard .

the table has a very nice flame mahogany veneer tot he side frame and is circa 1895 onwards with modern flush fitted pocket plates on a Burroughs and watts type frame
there was nothing wrong with the tbale it played ok , but once I had put the idea of an oak table into my clients mind he had to swop it over once he realised what I was recommending was better for him and his room decor.
and this is what he replaced it with , as you can see it blends into the room perfectly .

I have just re-covered the Riley Viceroy oak table and he happened to mention he still had the older Mahogany table in store and would I mind advertising it for him
My client does know the current market prices for full size snooker tables is not high so is only asking around £500 for his tulip legged mahogany victorian table

£800 for solid oak table !

We have a client who wishes to sell their full size Riley Imperial Snooker Table in solid oak for just £800 collected .
these tables are sought after for Barn conversions or for a home with plenty of oak in them or a modern or period home where Oak would blend in
there are not too many oak tables for sale most are mahogany or very dark wood by a 90% ratio to 10% oak .
this table was fully renovated around 15 to 20 years ago and is still in exceptional condition ,
I would say this table is stained and polished dark oak , but not too dark that the grain is not covered over , you can clearly see the quarter sawn oak pattern in the leg which shows good quality oak has been used .

As you can see the wood work is in very good order as seems the cloth from this photo .
the table will come with all accessories that is in the photo including scoreboard , the light does not look good enough, it is  too small !
so any buyer would have to source lighting for this table .

You may notice it is fitted with the original Billiard type pocket bag nets and there is no hooks on the frame work which helps keep the woodwork from x rest nibble when placing back on the hooks .

The table has the Tulip leg design and has ornate scrolls between the legs

We have a client who wishes to sell their very nice oak Life Pool Scoreboard , sometimes referred to as pyramid pool boards.
The board is in Oak and has  a maker’s badge of Hixon & sons of Leeds on it .

our client at the moment is open to offers for this board and lower storage sideboard and mid section ,
this scoreboard does lack a pediment that is sometimes present on this type of combination , this I feel would have topped it off
I think the lower part was added at a later date if I am to be honest , but you never know it depends on  the date of the actual scoreboard as I date the lower part to around the 1920/50s
My Client has owned the scoreboard as it is seen when he had a burroughs and watts table which has long gone , but felt attached to keeping this scoreboard as he liked it .
but he has now decided he has no further use for it as he has no table .

I have a client who has recently bought this table as an investment and would maybe sell to the right offer .
the table is very highly carved type and was manufactured around the 1880s , it has thin 1 inch slate bed with thick slate linings
The cushions have been converted to take Steel block conversion, and I must say this has been done in a very professional manner
the carved mouldings of the old cushions having been joined onto modern frieze surrounds to fit the backs of steel cushions.
Jimmy white has played on this Table , and it has recently had the cushions re-rubbered and re-blocked .
the table was once owned by the Nestle chocolate Factory in York and is well known around the Billiards firms for being a superb piece of carved craftsmanship .
Before Nestle bought the tbale , it used based in a large Retirement home in Scarborough , I do not know the History before this , but this table would have been made for a large country estate Home or wealthy Businessmen around the 1870/80s

the thin one inch slate dates to around 1880 it is in 5 sections , most tables of this circa had thin slates , it was horse and carts and trains moving them in those days not trucks .
you have to get to the mid to late 1890s to find thicker slate being used as motorised transport became the norm .
at some time in the past the table went through an upgrade to Modern steel cushions by Burroughes and watts which they invented around 1895/6
I think the table must have had that upgrade around the 1910 /1920s , but it could have been later , this table would have had standard cushions with billiard top plate pockets when first manufactured . and the cushion conversion was done very professionally , I can see where they have done this work because of my trained eye but to anyone not used to spotting this would think the steel cushions where original , taking the original carved moulding and splicing it onto the new cushions took some working out . many old billiard tables had Burroughes and Watts steel cushion  upgrades over the years . I have not seen a better conversion than this .
note the thick tack wood liners this makes the slate look a lot thicker once the cloth is on
I must say the slate is in first class order , the joints are almost faultless with just the odd chip out that has been filled correctly .

Tables like this sell at Hamiltons and Sir william Bentley billiards in the high thousands , our client would sell for similar offers for this one off table .

this full; size highly carved snooker table is located in Goole ( East Riding of Yorkshire ) in a large extension to the rear of our clients property .
He is also having a separate room built for it at a later date , if he gets the right offer he will just buy a standard type modern table to play on to replace it ,
he may even be interested in a part exchange if your table is of good condition and of quality manufacture ?
he is not a serious player or billiards collector and he bought this table as an investment because he liked it  , as I said if he gets the right offer he may be tempted to sell
all I can say is try and find another like this .

the leg design , my client is going to wax the legs up to bring more detail out , they are rather dusty at the moment. ~

just a small part of the carving , the only flat part of this table is the upper cushion cappings where you rest your hand to play , every other part is carved woodwork .
it really is a piece of craftsmanship .

a much better photo showing more detail from the window side of the room . you may note the original carved knee panels are missing and the tbale has plain knee panels fitted , our client is looking into having some made for this table to match the carvings .
