Fed up of noisy cushion rattle on your pool table , less bounce to some cushions more to others ?
I may have found the solution for you a nice easy conversion you could DIY yourself for little money
( You will require a large hole cutter for the underside of the table down the hinge side to gain 3 access holes identical to other side on free play tables )
or jig saw the hole’s out ?
EQUAL BOUNCE TO EVERY CUSHION
TIGHT NO HINGED TOP SURROUND
After listening to players about rattles and loose tops on Supreme pool tables and the hinge rattles on one side
A VERY COMMON PROBLEM THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT RECTIFIED .
I have come up with a plan to eliminate most of the problems a loose top lid can cause for cushion bounce and noise .
although the top loop is all wrong on these adjustable clamps they may fit existing hook tabs on underside of lid .
The clamp part is very good being adjustable you could adjust every clamp around the underside of the top cushion frame link to pull down with equal force on every point .
therefore making every cushion pulled down on the slate bed exactly the same force , all around the table = a more uniformed rebound power from every rubber cushion .
adjustable up to 200lb force from each clamp !
at the moment it is hit and miss as to what cushions bounce better than others and what noise you get from each cushion on the impact vibration .
In fact these clamp down latches would be good for all pool table top surround lids on every make of table .
Available on Amazon for around £7 for 4 clamps , i would say you could convert a hinged supreme to have clamp downs two clamps to every cushion = 12 clamps
for an outlay of just £21 approx for the parts
if the manufacturer of these adjustable tension clamps could do under slung clamp ends rather than side mount loop ends then even better for a straight forward swap over of parts .
